ABOUT UTARA BOOK FAIR
For the first time, in conjunction with Universiti Utara Malaysia’s 2011 Year of Research, Innovation and Publication, UUM Press is organising its first Utara Book Fair. With the theme “Reading Empowers Your Mind”, the fair aims to foster interest and reading habits among the community within the campus as well as those around the northern region.
OVERALL OBJECTIVES
- To elevate the culture of scholarly publication by showcasing high quality scholarly books.
- To promote UUM as a management university and its culture to the public.
- To provide opportunities for suppliers and publishers in introducing their publications to the community within the campus as well as those around the northern region.
- To inculcate interests in writing books and journal articles among scholars.
