Four UUM Press journals listed in the Thomson Reuters Emerging Sources Citation Index

 

UUM ONLINE: A total of four journals published by Universiti Utara Malaysia Press (UUM Press) have been listed in the new database of the Thomson Reuters, the Web of Science (WoS) - Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

Previously, two UUM journals i.e. the Journal of Information and Communication Technology (JICT) and the Malaysian Journal of Learning and Instruction (MJLI) have been indexed in the ESCI since 2016. The recent listings showed two more UUM journals - the International Journal of Management Studies (IJMS) and the Journal of International Studies (JIS) were also listed in the ESCI database. UUM Press would like to congratulate the Chief Editors of both journals specifically Profesor Dr. Sobri Minai (IJMS) and Dr. Mohammad Fuad Othman (JIS), as well as the members of the Editorial Board of the respective journals along with the members of the team at the Journal Section, UUM Press. JIS is a journal from the School of International Studies. It was the brainchild of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Seri Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Ishak when he was the Dean. IJMS is one of the earliest journals published by the university. Formerly, it was known as “Jurnal Analisis”.
