UUM’s very own Journal of Information and Communication Technology (JICT) has climbed to Quartile 2 (Q2) for Computer Science and Q3 for Mathematics fields. Articles published in JICT have gained international attention which rapidly increases its citation. Q2 is a significant achievement for the journal and demonstrate the increased recognition of current progress in computing field, and the improved relevance and quality of its articles.

JICT was indexed in Scopus database since 2011 and immediately attract attention of researchers throughout the world with its quality papers. JICT was a Q4 journal in 2012, moving to Q3 in 2016 and now Q2. Indeed, it is an achievement that can be proud of. This is made possible as the team of editors, reviewers and authors have made valuable contribution to the journal. Doing all the extra work while continuing in their full-time position was extremely ambitious and took a lot of effort and dedication. It is hope that 2019 will bring continued success as the journal continues to strengthen and grow!
